Forget the bikini, forget the body pose. Forget it. This photo above from actress Catherine-Zeta Jones’ Instagram account is worth a million words and her beautiful figure ain’t even in the same realm as the main message.

The unflattering angled photograph. I’m sure we all have one, no matter how fit, how happy or how content we are in that moment. Look past that moment just for a second. Did you just mow down on a pizza with your closest friends or partner, smiling ear to ear, and someone captured the moment on film? But you were happy right? SO WHAT. I say, take the bloated unflattering photo if it means the reality of that photo captured my happiness.
As a 26 year old woman, the one thing I hear time and time again from older (I should replace the word ‘older’ with wiser) wiser people is- who cares? What matters is YOUR happiness. And so, 47 year old Catherine-Zeta Jones, who by the way just celebrated her 16th wedding anniversary to actor Michael Douglas, gave the paparazzi the big ol’ middle finger. She was with her family celebrating Thanksgiving in Mexico when the paparazzi took ‘unflattering’ photos of the actress.
Her perception of beautiful is how her husband views her. How she views herself. Not you. So who cares.
